Bharara Rome Pour Homme Intense smells like fresh confidence with a darker, smoother finish. It starts crisp and energetic with sparkling citrus, black pepper and an aquatic freshness, but as it develops, the fragrance becomes greener, woodier and noticeably warmer. It's the kind of scent that feels freshly showered and sharply dressed at first, then becomes smoother and more seductive the longer it stays on the skin.

 

The opening immediately wakes everything up. Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian lemon create a bright citrus rush while black pepper adds a dry, spicy bite. Aquatic notes run underneath, giving the opening a cool, almost breezy quality. The freshness isn't overly sweet or shower-gel-like—it feels crisp, masculine and polished.

 

Once the citrus settles, green apple begins to show through. It brings a crunchy, slightly juicy freshness that works beautifully against violet and violet leaves. Jasmine adds a softer floral texture, but it doesn't make the fragrance smell obviously floral. Instead, the heart feels green, clean and smooth, almost like fresh air moving through crisp leaves with a subtle fruity sweetness underneath.

 

Then Rome Pour Homme Intense starts showing why the word Intense belongs in the name.

The dry-down becomes warmer and considerably more substantial. Cedarwood, cashmere wood and cypress woodcreate layers of smooth, dry woods, while ambergris gives the fragrance an almost salty, skin-like warmth. Vanilla appears underneath everything with just enough sweetness to round off the woods without turning the fragrance into a gourmand.

 

Imagine cold lemon and bergamot hitting black pepper, followed by crisp green apple and violet leaves, all eventually melting into cashmere woods and subtle vanilla. That's the journey of Rome Pour Homme Intense.

 

What makes it especially wearable is the balance. You get enough citrus and aquatic freshness to make it feel clean and energetic, but there is enough pepper, woods, ambergris and vanilla underneath to stop it from becoming another basic fresh men's fragrance. The opening feels daytime-ready; the dry-down feels like it could easily carry into the night.

 

Compared with the regular Rome Pour Homme, which Bharara builds around geranium, ginger, sage, cedarwood and vetiver, Intense has a brighter citrus-aquatic opening and a noticeably fuller woody-vanilla base.

 

Bharara lists Rome Pour Homme Intense at a 25% fragrance oil concentration, with six weeks of ageing consisting of three weeks of maceration followed by three weeks of maturation.
