Acqua di Parma Cedro Virtuoso smells like creamy roasted hazelnut infused into dry cedarwood, brightened with sparkling Calabrian bergamot, then wrapped in smooth sandalwood and warm tonka bean. It’s woody first, gourmand second—the nuttiness adds a creamy richness without turning the fragrance into a sugary dessert.

 

Released in 2026 as part of Acqua di Parma’s Signatures of the Sun collection, Cedro Virtuoso is officially classified as a Woody Gourmand. Its signature is an exclusive co-infusion of Virginia cedarwood and hazelnut, designed to contrast dry structured woods with soft, buttery nuttiness. 

The opening immediately feels luxurious.

 

Calabrian bergamot provides a bright citrus sparkle, but underneath it sits the fragrance’s most interesting combination: Virginia cedarwood and hazelnut.

 

The cedar is dry, clean and structured, while the hazelnut brings a creamy, almost buttery texture. Acqua di Parma says the two materials are infused together, allowing the hazelnut to develop its round creaminess while the cedar retains its dry woody character. 

 

Imagine freshly roasted hazelnuts crushed over warm cedarwood with curls of bright bergamot peel scattered on top.

Nutty. Woody. Creamy. But never overly sweet.

 

As the citrus begins fading, Cedro Virtuoso becomes increasingly wood-focused.

The heart combines Atlas cedar and Alaska cedar, each bringing a different personality. Atlas cedar contributes a spicier, balsamic depth, while Alaska cedar introduces more aromatic and subtly leathery nuances.

 

This is where the fragrance starts feeling particularly sophisticated.

The hazelnut remains softly in the background, but now it's surrounded by layers of warm, dry cedar, giving the fragrance the feeling of polished wood rather than a traditional gourmand.

 

Then the dry-down becomes creamier.

Sandalwood softens the sharper cedarwood edges while tonka bean absolute introduces a textured sweetness. Ambrox adds an ambery warmth that helps the fragrance feel smoother and more enveloping as it settles.
